oh bloody nora!!!
when it rains, it bloody pours.
every things finally moving fast now!!!
hopefully will get my patterns early next week. the only thing is know that I'm going on Holiday on Thursdays, so won't get much time sewing.....i may have to take my sewing machine with me :(
the next two months are going to busy busy busy!!!
i try update as much as i can, but if it all goes well, it'll be great!!!!

Woof
So I've been feeling really crappy lately, like jump out the window crappy. But today I have been reinspired!!!
I've just found two stores which have sparked my interest.
I'll write more about them later, and hopefully add some pics or something. ( Still need to actually visit them!)
But even without anything really happening with this label at the moment ( not my fault), I'm feeling just a little bit more happy with everything.
The sun is now shining on what was a grey horrible London day....its a sign! :)

Why do I even bother
Oh woh is me. I've hit an all time bottom low.
So I've recently got told that I won't be staying at my job. This has hit me very badly, more then I allow myself to admit :(
Not that I loved my job, not that I even like it, but it meant that at least I could fund In-My-Name. But no, like so many others, I will be UNEMPLOYED literally at the end of the year.( My last day is 31st December)
So whats going to happen to In-My-Name?...........
Well not really sure, but I'm not going to give up!!!! Even if that means I'll have to resell my soul to the Devil herself, so be it!!!
On there more happy news.
Since my pattern cutter is recovering from an operations, everythings kind of at a stand still.

So to keep myself going creatively, and to keep myself from going insane, I'm going to starting making jewellery for In-My-Name .
I have some ideas, but you'll just have to keep watch!!!!

What its all about
I would like to just tell you what In-My-Name is about:
Just so its clear for everyone from the off set what my label and inspiration is about.
INSPIRATION: MY BOYFRIEND
So this is who I'm basing my market audience at and the type of guy I'm designing for.
His at the age were his got a set style. He looks good and stylist without looking ridculous. He doen't like to go shopping but undestand that Paul Smith is a good brand and treats the pieces he does own with care. He laughs at the "individuals" of hoxton and shortditch with there "unique" fashion.
His my inspiration. I always design with him in mind. My ethos is" if he wouldn't wear it, it's not part of the collection" (Although he does own man skirts, so maybe its not a good idea)
So what is In-My-Name the label:
Well you can expect refined, yet playful designs. Not anything that will make you stop and stare at the man because he looks weird, but actually because you like what his wearing because its different.
Expect understated colors brought out with luxurous detailing.

So my business cards have come today. Although I have just realised that I'll be needing new ones in 5 months time, its still good to have them!
Although I'm not really sure about them now that I have them
I'm branding is just very simple and clean. Its going to match the website ( which is a work in progress)
I guess its going to take time to get use to them....and I'm sure with all the other stuff it'll look fab.....but cha, it looks so bloody boring!

This close to murder!!!!
Oh My Gay God(s), I've never felt this close to killing someone as I have today!!
Stupid Button man !!!! ( who I shall name Mr Buttons)
So first of, its taken me three (not 1, not 2, but 3!!!) rearranged meetings to see him.
Having finally seen the goods,which, fortunately was worth the wait, I was promised the samples of the buttons I picked within the next couple of days....that was last week...as in ten day ago....ten working days ago!
Anyhow, after chasing for the samples, he tells me that the girl that makes the sample cards won't be in until Friday....OK, fine, I guess I just have to wait for it..........
SO HOW COMES HE CALLS ME OUT THE BLUE AND TELLS ME HIS GOT THE SAMPLES WITH HIM AND AM I IN THE WEST END AND THEN TO MEET HIM IN 15MINS
...................................................does this man not understand that I have to work
Thank god my boss knows what I'm up to, so she was very understanding when I ran out the office.
I had to run just to make it in time, and even then, he was late.
Seriously, what the hell have I got myself into!!

Funding :(
so when it comes to the non design part, my brain goes into "I wonder what else I can do " mode.
I'm meant to be looking into funding, but its so borrrrrrrrrrring! and theres too many words and too many subjects!....
so what and i doing instead....well this....but it's an importtant part of what I have to do. this blog is the voice of In-My-Name.
ahhhh, I think I may have to go on the game. Atleast that way I know I could make some extra cash on the side.
DISCLAIMER: that was a joke. i will not ever sell my body to raise funds for In-My-Name....I will sell it so I can buy shiney things instead!

And so its offical...ish
Hi all, and welcome to my blog.
This is covering little old me trying to set up my own menswear label
So about me.......oooow, not much to say really. Born and breed in london. Went to fashion college. Got scared forever by my tutors. So now.... well, I'm doing this.
Gosh, I'm not really good at this kind of thingy :(
anyway, I'm going to start writing my progess about whats happening and stuff from here on, although its been a couple of weeks now. However this is the first step in making it offical....kind of anyway.
